Sosialisasi Penggunaan Aplikasi Cuti Berbasis Website pada Dinas Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral Provinsi Sumatera Selatan

Abstract

Manual management of leave administration faces several challenges, such as time-consuming application processes, reliance on physical documents, limited ability to track application status, and difficulties in managing leave data records. These issues highlight the need for digital transformation through the implementation of a web-based leave application to enhance the effectiveness of personnel administration. This community service activity aimed to improve the understanding and readiness of employees at the South Sumatra Province Energy and Mineral Resources Agency regarding the use of a web-based leave application. Fifteen employees participated in the activity. The implementation method involved an outreach and awareness-raising approach comprising several stages: coordination with the partner, needs assessment, material preparation, the outreach session itself, a demonstration of the application, and evaluation via pre- and post-activity questionnaires. The results indicate an improvement in participants' understanding of the web-based leave application. Evaluation findings show that the average participant understanding rose from 41.6% prior to the session to 85% afterward an increase of 43.4%. The activity demonstrated that such outreach plays a crucial role in boosting user readiness for digital technology adoption by providing insight into the application's benefits, usage workflow, and functions in supporting personnel administration processes. Thus, this activity successfully supported the digital transformation process at the South Sumatra Province Energy and Mineral Resources Agency by enhancing digital literacy and employee readiness to utilize the web-based leave application effectively and systematically.
