The interaction of these two plates forms two main tectonic structures: the subduction zone off the western coast of Sumatra and the Sumatra Fault Zone (SFZ). The latter exhibits varying seismic activity that has not yet been clearly mapped. This study aims to assess the level of seismic vulnerability across Sumatra Island by dividing the region into nine zones using the a-value and b-value parameters based on the Gutenberg-Richter relationship. Earthquake data from the USGS and IRIS catalogs for the period 1924-2024 were processed through a declustering procedure and subsequently analyzed using the Maximum Likelihood method with the assistance of ZMAP v6 software. The results show that the a-value across Sumatra ranges from 2.1 to 5.1, while the b-value ranges from 0.545 to 0.868. North Sumatra records the highest a- and b-values, at 3.82 and 0.786, respectively. In contrast, West Sumatra shows the lowest values, with an a-value of 2.9 and a b-value of 0.623. These findings not only reveal variations in seismic activity across Sumatra Island, but also provide a more detailed zonation of seismic hazard based on the Gutenberg-Richter parameters, which can serve as a basis for disaster mitigation planning and the development of earthquake-resistant infrastructure.
Lola Amanda Lailatul Husna Lubis Ratni Sirait Copyright (c) 2026 Lola Amanda, Lailatul Husna Lubis, & Ratni Sirait https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ 2026-07-03 2026-07-03 6 3 1506 1515 10.36312/panthera.v6i3.1304 Analisis Nilai-nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila dalam Novel “Tentang Kamu” Karya Tere Liye dan Relevansinya terhadap Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia https://www.e-journal.lp3kamandanu.com/index.php/panthera/article/view/1308
This study aims to describe: 1) the values of the Pancasila Student Profile contained in the novel "Tentang Kamu" by Tere Liye; and 2) the relevance of the values of the Pancasila Student Profile to Indonesian language learning. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with stylistic and pragmatic perspectives on comedians' humorous utterances sourced from 24 videos on the Kompas TV YouTube channel. The results indicate that there are four main forms of figurative language: comparison, affirmation, opposition, and satire, with satire, particularly irony, dominating. Functionally, figurative language is used to enhance the story's appeal, create humorous effects, build emotional closeness, strengthen the comedian's identity, and convey social criticism, with humor being the most dominant function. These findings indicate that figurative language plays a role not only as an aesthetic element but also as a pragmatic strategy in creating rhetorical effects through deviations in meaning, reversals of expectations, and the conveyance of implicit meanings. Thus, the effectiveness of humor in stand-up comedy is determined by the synergy between stylistic and pragmatic aspects that shape audience responses and interpretations.
Asnayanti Asnayanti Hasriani Hasriani Asis Nojeng Copyright (c) 2026 Asnayanti, Hasriani, & Asis Nojeng https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ 2026-07-06 2026-07-06 6 3 1544 1550 10.36312/panthera.v6i3.1320 Pengaruh Dukungan Keluarga terhadap Keputusan Karir dengan Efikasi Diri sebagai Variabel Moderator pada Siswa SMA Negeri 4 Samarinda https://www.e-journal.lp3kamandanu.com/index.php/panthera/article/view/1322
This study aims to analyze the influence of family support on students' career decisions, with self-efficacy as a moderating variable, in eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 4 Samarinda. However, the physical condition profiles of school-level futsal athletes are rarely comprehensively evaluated to serve as a basis for training program design. This study aims to describe the physical condition levels of male futsal players at MAN 1 Mataram. A quantitative approach with a descriptive design was employed. The sample consisted of 16 players selected using total sampling. Data collection involved the Multistage Fitness Test (MFT) to measure VO₂Max, a 30-meter sprint test, the Illinois agility test, a 60-second push-up test, and a vertical jump test. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics specifically mean values and percentages based on the norms for each test instrument. The results showed that leg muscle explosive power averaged 51.56 cm (predominantly "good" category), sprint speed averaged 4.15 seconds ("good" category), agility averaged 17.14 seconds ("fair" category), and upper-body muscle strength averaged 31.56 repetitions. Meanwhile, the mean VO₂Max was 40.87 ± 3.37 ml/kg/min, with the majority of players (68.8%) falling into the "poor" category. These findings indicate that while the players possess adequate anaerobic performance capabilities to support explosive actions, they lack the aerobic capacity necessary to sustain match intensity throughout the game. Consequently, these results can serve as a foundation for developing a more targeted physical training program that emphasizes improving aerobic endurance through structured training, without neglecting the development of other physical fitness components.
Muhammad Bakhtiar Misbah Dadang Warta Chandra Wira Kesuma Indri Susilawati Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Bakhtiar Misbah, Dadang Warta Chandra Wira Kesuma, & Indri Susilawati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ 2026-07-11 2026-07-11 6 3 1691 1710 10.36312/panthera.v6i3.1735 Identifikasi Jenis Makroalga di Pantai Pandanan Kabupaten Lombok Utara https://www.e-journal.lp3kamandanu.com/index.php/panthera/article/view/820
Besides being a tourist destination, Pandanan Beach has considerable marine potential. However, in reality, many prospective mathematics teachers are not yet accustomed to using problem-solving models, such as Polya’s model. This study aims to analyze the problem-solving processes of prospective mathematics teachers when solving word problems, viewed through the lens of Polya’s model. Polya’s model comprises four stages: understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back (reviewing the results). This is a qualitative descriptive study employing a case study design. The subjects consisted of 60 students from the Mathematics Education Study Program at Mandalika University of Education, drawn from various semesters. Purposive sampling was used to select participants based on high, medium, and low ability categories. Data collection involved source triangulation using tests, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation in the form of teaching practice videos. Subsequently, the data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The results indicate that while students could identify the given information and the questions asked, they tended not to write them down. Students demonstrated competence in the "carrying out the plan" stage but showed weaknesses in the "devising a plan" and "looking back" stages. These findings highlight the need to strengthen conceptual understanding, systematic thinking skills, metacognitive abilities, and the capacity to solve non-routine problems, as well as to provide training in reflective thinking, so that prospective teachers can apply Polya’s model more comprehensively in mathematical problem-solving. The study's findings are expected to serve as a basis for reflection for educators and prospective educators regarding the importance of incorporating problem-solving model procedures into the learning process.
Agusfianuddin Agusfianuddin Ahmad Muzaki I Ketut Sukarma Ria Saputri Copyright (c) 2026 Agusfianuddin, Ahmad Muzaki, I Ketut Sukarma, & Ria Saputri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ 2026-07-17 2026-07-17 6 3 1771 1784 10.36312/panthera.v6i3.1725 Pengaruh Penerapan LKPD Berbasis PjBL terhadap Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis dan Hasil Belajar Kognitif Siswa https://www.e-journal.lp3kamandanu.com/index.php/panthera/article/view/1209
This pre-experimental study, utilizing a one-group pretest-posttest design, aimed to examine the validity and effectiveness of a Project-Based Learning (PjBL)-based Student Worksheet on the topic of environmental pollution regarding students' critical thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes. This condition requires the introduction of digital ethics from an early age to prevent the emergence of negative behaviors, such as the use of impolite language, exposure to inappropriate content, and cyberbullying. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing scratch programming with magic words content in improving the understanding of digital ethics in children aged 5-6 years. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research instrument has passed validity and reliability tests with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.70. Data analysis was carried out using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, the Wilcoxon test, and the N-Gain test. The results of the normality test showed that the pretest and posttest data were not normally distributed, so the analysis was continued using the Wilcoxon test. The Wilcoxon test results showed a significance value <0.001 which indicated a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. The results of the N-Gain test obtained an average value of 0.8770 which is included in the high category. Thus, the implementation of scratch programming with magic words content is effective in improving children aged 5-6 years old's understanding of digital ethics.
Rizki Ayu Amalia Putri Amirul Mukminin Copyright (c) 2026 Rizki Ayu Amalia Putri & Amirul Mukminin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ 2026-07-24 2026-07-24 6 3 1865 1874 10.36312/panthera.v6i3.1411 Eksplorasi Aktivitas Fundamental Matematika pada Aktivitas Etnomatematika dalam Merajut https://www.e-journal.lp3kamandanu.com/index.php/panthera/article/view/1410
Ethnomathematics is a study that connects mathematical concepts with community culture, one of which is knitting activities. This study aims to explore the fundamental mathematical activities in knitting activities based on Alan Bishop's theory, namely counting, measuring, determining location, designing, playing, and explaining. This qualitative research uses an ethnographic approach. The data collection techniques are through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of knitters in the Jember Knitting Community (KRJ). Meanwhile, data analysis includes data reduction by filtering data that corresponds to the fundamental mathematical activities, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that knitting activities contain six fundamental mathematical activities, namely measuring activities that appear in determining product sizes, designing activities that appear in compiling knitted product designs, determining location activities that appear in placing motifs on knitting, counting activities that appear in the process of counting stitches, playing activities that appear through exploration of motif and color variations, while explaining activities that appear in explaining knitting techniques and steps. In addition, knitting activities also contain various mathematical concepts, such as number patterns, arithmetic operations, measurement, geometry, symmetry, geometric transformations, creativity and mathematical reasoning, and mathematical logic. This research shows that knitting activities can be used as a resource for contextual, culture-based mathematics learning.
Nur Hidayatin Copyright (c) 2026 Nur Hidayatin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ 2026-07-24 2026-07-24 6 3 1875 1886 10.36312/panthera.v6i3.1410 Efektivitas Blended Learning terhadap Hasil Belajar Sains: Systematic Literature Review https://www.e-journal.lp3kamandanu.com/index.php/panthera/article/view/1880
Blended learning is a learning model that integrates face-to-face learning with online learning to create a more flexible, interactive, and student-centered learning experience. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of blended learning on science learning outcomes through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The study was carried out by referring to the PRISMA guidelines through the stages of identification, screening, feasibility assessment, and inclusion. Literature searches were conducted on Scopus, ScienceDirect, ERIC, Google Scholar, and SpringerLink databases with a publication range of 2019–2025. Based on the selection process, as many as 19 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using narrative synthesis. The results showed that 84.2% of studies reported that blended learning significantly improved science learning outcomes compared to conventional learning, while 15.8% of studies found no significant difference despite showing an increase in student motivation, engagement, and learning satisfaction. In addition to improving cognitive learning outcomes, blended learning also contributes to improving critical thinking skills, problem solving, science literacy, science process skills, and learning independence. The effectiveness of the implementation of blended learning is influenced by the quality of learning design, teacher competence, student readiness, and technological infrastructure support. These findings show that blended learning is an effective learning strategy to improve the quality of science learning at various levels of education, with the record that its implementation is supported by systematic planning and optimal use of technology.
I Wayan Karmana Copyright (c) 2026 I Wayan Karmana https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/ 2026-07-25 2026-07-25 6 3 1887 1896 10.36312/panthera.v6i3.1880
