https://www.e-journal.lp3kamandanu.com/index.php/panthera/article/view/1067

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of TikTok social media on the personal branding of makeup service students. With its interactive short video format, TikTok allows students to showcase their talents and reach a wider audience. This study explains how TikTok usage influences personal branding and offers practical advice for individuals, creators, and especially makeup service students. Google Form was used to conduct an online survey using a non-experimental quantitative methodology. There were 65 students from the class of 2022 in the Beauty Education Study Program, Semarang State University, who became the sample. In this study, the data results met the conditions indicated by the validity test, reliability, classical assumptions, simple linear regression, t-test, and determination test. The t-test results showed that the TikTok social media usage variable (X) had a t-value of 8.182 and a significance value of 0.000. Because this significance value is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. These findings indicate that TikTok social media usage contributes to the development of personal branding and plays a role in supporting audience interaction and increasing public perceptions of trust. The platform also provides a relevant platform for student makeup artists to build visibility and document their portfolios digitally.
Dinda Ayu PuspitaMaria Krisnawati

https://www.e-journal.lp3kamandanu.com/index.php/panthera/article/view/1092

This study aims to describe the comparative educational dimensions in Pramoedya Ananta Toer's Bumi Manusia novels and Tere Liye's Teruslah Bodoh Jangan Pintar (Continue to Be Stupid, Don't Be Smart) through the perspective of Hans Robert Jauss's literary reception theory. Using a qualitative descriptive method with a comparative literature approach, this study examines three main dimensions: affective, cognitive, and moral. The data sources are linguistic units in both novels collected through literature study, reading and note-taking, and content analysis. Data analysis was conducted systematically through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that both novels function as media for social transformation and character education. Bumi Manusia novel presents colonial resistance through a poetic-symbolic style, while Tere Liye's work critiques modern capitalism straightforwardly. The novelty of this study lies in the application of a three-dimensional educational analysis, the first of its kind in Teruslah Bodoh Jangan Pintar (Continue to Be Stupid, Don't Be Smart), emphasizing literature's position as a relevant, cross-era humanistic educational tool.
A.
This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and students' perceptions of the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in Indonesian language learning at SMP Negeri 1 Pallangga, Gowa Regency. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation involving three Indonesian language teachers and 15 students in grades VII and VIII. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that teachers designed project-based activities by referring to learning objectives, activity steps, media selection, and assessment rubrics. The implementation of learning followed the six main syntaxes of Project Based Learning (PjBL), although the reflection stage was not optimal due to time constraints. Student responses were generally positive, namely 13 out of 15 students stated that Project Based Learning (PjBL) increased their creativity, engagement, collaboration, and understanding. Challenges faced included time management and uneven group participation. Thus, the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model has the potential to improve the quality of Indonesian language learning through meaningful and contextual tasks.
Nur RahmiAndi Sahtiani JahrirMuhammad Saleh

Peer acceptance plays an important role in students' social development because it affects self-confidence, participation, and psychosocial adjustment. Observation results indicate that there are still difficulties in social interaction and emotional management in grade X students, so it is important to examine these variables. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design on 170 students selected through random sampling techniques at SMA Negeri 13 Samarinda. Data were collected using scales of social skills, emotional regulation, and peer acceptance that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using product moment correlation and multiple linear regression using SPSS. The results showed a positive relationship between the variables studied with different levels of strength. Social skills (X1) and emotional regulation (X2) have a correlation coefficient of r = 0.563 which is included in the moderate relationship category, indicating that the better an individual's social skills, the better their emotional regulation. The relationship between social skills (X1) and peer acceptance (Y) is also in the moderate category with r = 0.510, indicating that individuals with better social skills tend to be more easily accepted by their peers. Meanwhile, emotional regulation (X2) and peer acceptance (Y) had a low positive correlation with r = 0.252. Simultaneously, social skills and emotional regulation had a significant relationship with peer acceptance (p < 0.05). However, partial regression results showed that only social skills had a significant effect on peer acceptance, while emotional regulation did not contribute significantly. This finding suggests that social skills are a more dominant factor in influencing an individual's acceptance by their peers.
Fatwa WahyuSyarifudin SyarifudinDwi SonaNuril Hidayanti

Local history learning plays a strategic role in building students' historical awareness and cultural identity, but its formal integration into history lessons at SMA Negeri 1 Cepu has yet to materialize. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of local history learning, the "Samin Surosentiko Movement," which is integrated into colonial history materials at SMA Negeri 1 Cepu. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with history teachers, students, and the vice principal for curriculum, classroom observations, and documentation studies of curriculum tools and documents. These data were then analyzed using qualitative coding techniques. The results indicate that although local history learning has taken place contextually, communicatively, and meaningfully in the classroom, and has had a positive impact on student understanding, interest, and motivation, it has not been formally integrated into planning documents, learning tools, or evaluation systems. The inclusion of material still relies on teacher initiative and is not supported by written school policies or adequate teaching materials.
Naufal Nursyifa Rizki WidodoTsabit Azinar Ahmad

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance with reframing techniques in overcoming students' low confidence in public speaking. The study was conducted at SMK Negeri 7 Samarinda, Samarinda City. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects were 16 students divided into an experimental group and a control group of 8 students each. The data collection technique used a public speaking confidence scale in the form of a Likert scale. The instrument has been tested for validity with the Pearson correlation technique and tested for reliability using Alpha Cronbach. In addition to the scale, data were also obtained through observation and interviews to describe the conditions and behavior of students during the service process and after the treatment process was carried out. Data analysis techniques in this study included prerequisite analysis and hypothesis testing. Prerequisite analysis was carried out with a normality test using Shapiro-Wilk and a homogeneity test using the Levene test through the SPSS version 25 program. Furthermore, hypothesis testing was carried out using an independent samples t-test. Score improvement analysis was also carried out using N-gain to measure changes in pre-test and post-test scores in each group. The results showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups after treatment, with a 2-tailed significance value of 0.028 (p < 0.05). The experimental group's posttest average was 88.2, higher than the control group's 76.3. The experimental group's average N-gain score was 0.6945, higher than the control group's 0.3296. These findings indicate that group guidance with the reframing technique is significantly effective, based on the difference in posttest scores and N-gain scores, in increasing students' confidence in public speaking and can be an alternative service for guidance and counseling teachers in schools.
Siti HartinaSyarifudin SyarifudinYasintha Sari PratiwiMuhaimin Abdillah

This research is motivated by the results of student needs assessments through AKPD, AUM, observations, and interviews that indicate that there are students with low levels of self-confidence caused by the lack of role and support from the family. One effort that can be done to overcome this problem is to develop service media that involve the role of the family. Therefore, this study aims to develop a family counseling module with positive reinforcement techniques to increase student self-confidence. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) Level 1 method, which focuses on product design and validation without extensive field trials. The product developed is a family counseling module with positive reinforcement techniques to increase student self-confidence. Validation was carried out by three validators consisting of material experts, linguists, and guidance and counseling practitioners. The assessment uses a validation sheet with a Likert scale of 1-4 on the aspects of material, language, and practicality, then the percentage of feasibility is calculated: ≤40% = less, 41-60% = sufficient, 61-80% = feasible, and 81-100% = very feasible. The results showed that the validation score from subject matter experts was 87.5%, from language experts 97.5%, and from guidance and counseling practitioners 100%, resulting in an average module feasibility percentage of 95%. These results indicate that this module is categorized as "very feasible" for use as a family counseling service in schools. However, because this study used a Level 1 R&D approach, the module was only tested for feasibility and validity. Therefore, this study did not test the module's effectiveness or its impact on increasing participants' self-confidence.
Inggita Al-Syauqina PuspitasariDwi SonaYasintha Sari PratiwiMuhaimin Abdillah

Javanese bridal bun styling requires the right backcombing technique to produce a dense, neat bun shape, and has good durability. However, problematic hair characteristics such as thin, slippery, and oily hair often become obstacles in the process of forming a backcombing. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using a crimper and hair powder on the quality of the backcombing bun in the Javanese Bridal course. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design with two treatments (split treatment design). The research sample taken was 12 students of the Beauty Education Study Program selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through sensory testing using a questionnaire with a dichotomous scale (Yes/No). Data analysis was carried out descriptively, as well as through prerequisite tests including the normality test (Shapiro-Wilk) and the homogeneity test (Levene). Furthermore, hypothesis testing was carried out using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test with the help of the SPSS program at a significance level of 5%. Based on the research results, the use of a crimping iron and hair powder were both proven to be equally effective in significantly improving the quality of the hair bun (p < 0.05). However, the results of the independent sample t-test showed no significant difference in effectiveness between the two methods (p = 0.107 > 0.05). Both techniques can be considered to have equal levels of effectiveness in improving the quality of the hair bun. Therefore, the use of a crimping iron and hair powder can be used as alternative techniques to improve the quality of the hair bun during the learning process of Javanese bridal hair styling.
Ratna Nur YunidaIfa Nurhayati
